CANPACK India Pvt Ltd, in association with S M Sehgal Foundation, inaugurated the newly transformed Government Middle School at village Thekarka, Nuh, Haryana on December 13, 2022. This project is about facilitating better quality education to children in villages by providing higher standard of infrastructure in schools and better study materials. The project will benefit over 250 school children and teachers, and we expect more enrolment of children after having seen such good facilities.
Key interventions included repairs and refurbishment of classrooms, kitchen, corridors, roof area, creation of a new toilet blocks for girls and boys. A rainwater harvesting system of 75,000 litres capacity ensures availability of drinking water. Students have also been given new uniforms and shoes, school bags, books and stationery items. The stimulating environment has already led to increased student enrolment and retention.
This inauguration was conducted in august presence of Renu Sogan (IAS) Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Nuh; Gaurav Singh (Additional CEO, Haryana CSR Trust), Vikram Potdar, MD & CEO CANPACK India, Dushyant Kumar, Operations Director CANPACK India, Janardhan Kale, India Procurement Head CANPACK India, Mukesh Kumar Yadav (District Elementary Education Officer) along with Anjali Makhija (CEO and Trustee) S M Sehgal Foundation as well as dignitaries of the village as well as Village development committee. The school administration, along with the members of the School Management Committee (SMC), Community members and parents also participated actively in this inauguration ceremony.
