BHUBANESWAR: The Aditya Birla Group Company, Utkal Alumina International Ltd (UAIL) have taken a unique initiative to light the Streets of Tikiri Village under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Renewal energy is the future and what better if it is “Solar, so looking at the future of energy consumption UAIL has installed 75 numbers of Solar street light which will light the village from the of Tikiri from Azad Youth Club till Tikiri Haat.
These modern solar lights will have unique feature to take charge from sun in the morning and light the streets in the night and with an auto control will conserve energy by switching off while there will be day light.
N. Nagesh, Unit Head and President, Utkal Alumina said, “We are committed to Ideology of “We Grow Together”, we have always strived for all-round development of the people and the community through many CSR initiatives to raise the living standard of society surrounding us. And UAIL has been working with the people and for the people.”
A long awaited dream to see the Tikiri town lighted has come to an end. The inauguration of the street light has happened by eminent leaders of the community and senior officials of UAIL, company said.
Makahand Muduli, MLA, Rayagada Constituency and N. Nagesh the Unit Head and President, Utkal Alumina have jointly inaugurated the solar street lights at Tikiri.
