At Hitachi Energy, our constant endeavor is toward advancing a sustainable energy future for all, but that goes well beyond products and technologies in India. We actively contribute to society’s sustainable development through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.
As part of our ongoing efforts to create awareness on diversity and inclusivity, we have initiated a community outreach program, which also coincides with the celebration of International Women’s Day.
Through this program, over a couple of weeks, we have reached out to 1000+ students from government schools in Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Vadodara, with a special focus on girl students. Through this engagement, we touched upon health & wellness and life skills, and our team of volunteers engaged, interacted, and mentored the students.
Hitachi Energy employees also had a focus group discussion with all girl students (8th and 9th class) on various topics, including career and skill development. The team also organized fun-filled activities for all students to make the initiative more engaging.
The students also responded positively by participating in all activities and flooded our team with curious questions.
