Ebix India and Motherhood Hospital organised a cervical cancer awareness session promoting HPV vaccination, regular screening and preventive healthcare.
NEW DELHI (India CSR®): Ebix India, a leading provider of technology-driven solutions across financial services, payments, travel, insurance, healthcare, and digital commerce, continues to strengthen its commitment to employee well-being through impactful health and wellness initiatives. As part of this commitment, the company recently organized a Cervical Cancer Awareness Session in collaboration with Motherhood Hospital, aimed at educating employees on the importance of preventive healthcare, early detection, routine screening, and HPV vaccination in reducing the burden of cervical cancer.
Cervical cancer remains the second most common cancer among women in India and is one of the most preventable forms of cancer when detected early through regular screening and timely vaccination. Recognizing the importance of awareness in improving health outcomes, the session was designed to equip employees with credible medical information while encouraging proactive health practices.
The awareness programme was led by Dr. Ronak Khandelwal, Senior Consultant – Obstetrics, Gynaecology & Laparoscopic Surgery, Motherhood Hospital, who shared expert insights into the causes, symptoms, risk factors, screening guidelines, vaccination, and the latest approaches to prevention and treatment. The interactive session enabled employees to engage directly with the specialist, seek expert guidance, address common misconceptions, and gain practical advice on prioritizing their own health and that of their families.
The initiative forms part of Ebix India’s ongoing employee wellness programme, which promotes physical, mental, and preventive healthcare through regular awareness campaigns, health education sessions, and wellness initiatives. By collaborating with leading healthcare institutions and medical experts, the company continues to foster a workplace culture that values informed decision-making, preventive care, and holistic employee well-being.
Commenting on the initiative, the company’s spokesperson said, “At Ebix, we believe that the strength of an organization lies in the health and well-being of its people. Investing in preventive healthcare is not only about addressing today’s health challenges but also about building a healthier, more resilient workforce for the future. Cervical cancer is largely preventable through awareness, timely vaccination, and regular screening, yet many women continue to face unnecessary risks due to limited awareness. By partnering with leading healthcare institutions such as Motherhood Hospital, we are committed to equipping our employees with credible medical knowledge, encouraging informed health decisions, and fostering a workplace where wellness, awareness, and social responsibility remain integral to our culture.”
The programme reflects Ebix India’s broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitment to creating healthier workplaces while contributing to greater public awareness on critical health issues. Through sustained employee engagement, strategic healthcare partnerships, and community-focused initiatives, the company continues to promote preventive healthcare and encourage healthier lifestyles across its ecosystem.
As part of its comprehensive wellness agenda, Ebix India regularly undertakes initiatives focused on preventive healthcare, fitness, mental well-being, nutrition, and community outreach, reaffirming its commitment to building a healthier, more informed, and empowered workforce.
