Castrol, the leading automotive and industrial lubricant manufacturing company in India, announced the refurbishment and upgradation of twelve Primary Health Centres (PHC) in Sangli district of Maharashtra which were severely affected during the floods of 2019.
Together with the help of the State Government, Castrol India has worked to renovate these health centres that faced substantial devastation including damaged equipment, which catered to an average of hundred patients per day.
Castrol India has supported their upgradation by facilitating medical equipments such as ECG machines, oxygen cylinder sets, delivery tables, weighing machines and wheelchairs.
These Centres will shortly be equipped with a pathological lab as well antenatal and postnatal care clinics.
This refurbishment programme is in continuation to Castrol India’s effort of upgrading eight Primary Health Centres in Kottayam, Kerala last year which were similarly affected by floods.
