Bhuwaneshwar: The Adani Group, led by Gautam Adani, has proposed to establish two medical colleges in the Indian state of Odisha to improve healthcare facilities at the district level.
The group, which has port and logistics businesses in the state, plans to build the colleges in Bhadrak and Rayagada and is currently identifying land for the purpose.
The company submitted a formal proposal to the state’s Health and Family Welfare department in December 2022, and the response has been positive.
The company plans to establish the colleges on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode with the state government, with the development being carried out by the Adani Foundation under the group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
