PATNA (India CSR): Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) organized SPARDHA 2025, its annual inter-college sports event, on February 27, 2025. The two-day sporting extravaganza has drawn an impressive participation of around 500 students from various colleges in the city, including Patna University, Patiliputra University, Vanijya Mahavidyalaya, LN Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change (LNMI), Amity University, Patna Science College, and St. Xavier College of Management.
Energetic Opening Ceremony
The event was inaugurated in the morning by Prof. Dr. Rana Singh, Director of CIMP, Prof. Sibananda Senapati, Sports Coordinator of CIMP, and Kumod Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer of CIMP. The inauguration featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a friendly Badminton match between faculty members, marking an energetic start to the competition.
Diverse Participation and Events
SPARDHA 2025 features a wide array of sports, fostering enthusiasm and competitive spirit among students. The games included are Badminton with 125 participants, Carrom with 50 participants, the online game BGMI with 70 participants, Volleyball with 4 teams, Chess with 55 participants, Table Tennis with 40 participants, and Tug of War with 14 teams.
Emphasizing Inclusivity and Competition
The event has also witnessed a diverse representation, with 70.5% male and 29.5% female participants, emphasizing inclusivity in sports. With a prize pool of up to Rs 1 lakh, SPARDHA 2025 promises intense competition and rewarding experiences for the winners.
The event serves as a platform to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence among students from various academic institutions.
Exciting Matches and Grand Finale
Most of the league and first-round matches were played today. In the first Volleyball semifinal, RKD College defeated LNMI Patna and will face the winner of the second semifinal between CIMP and St. Xavier College tomorrow. The final matches of all events will be held tomorrow, followed by the certificate and prize distribution ceremony.
