Canara Bank has reaffirmed its solidarity with the people of Kerala and its continued focus on meaningful social responsibility.
Thiruvananthapuram (India CSR®): Canara Bank has contributed Rs. 25 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF), Kerala, to support relief and rehabilitation efforts for people affected by the recent floods in the state.
The cheque was formally handed over to the Chief Minister of Kerala by Barun Singh Thakur, General Manager and Circle Head, Thiruvananthapuram Circle, along with Santosh V. S., General Manager and SLBC Convenor.
The contribution reflects Canara Bank’s commitment to stand with communities during times of crisis. The assistance will support the Kerala government’s ongoing efforts to provide relief, restore essential services, and help affected families rebuild their lives.
Floods often create urgent requirements for food, shelter, healthcare, sanitation and the restoration of livelihoods. Contributions to the CMDRF enable the state administration to respond to these needs and strengthen rehabilitation measures in affected areas.
