The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is a key initiative launched by the Government of India to celebrate 75 years of independence, highlighting the rich history, culture, and achievements of its citizens. This grand festival is a tribute to the Indian populace, who have played a crucial role in India’s progress and embody the capability to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a new India, driven by the ethos of self-reliance.

This significant celebration began on March 12, 2021, marking the start of a 75-week countdown to the 75th anniversary of India’s independence, extending beyond the anniversary date to August 15, 2023.

The year is 2021. India marks 75 years since it broke free from colonial rule. To commemorate this momentous occasion, the government launched the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav,” a nationwide initiative that stretches across 75 weeks, culminating in August 2023. This isn’t just a celebration; it’s a journey through India’s past, present, and future.

Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is more than just a celebration; it’s a tribute to India’s freedom struggle and the valiant freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for our liberty.
