MUMBAI: Allcargo Logistics through its CSR arm, Avashya Foundation inaugurated Swachh Bharat Project – a step towards Clean India in its CFS region in Uran, Maharashtra. Under the project, the foundation has built toilets in two Zilla Parishad schools located at Vasheni and Pirkon.
The initiative aims to ensure better health for children in schools and make them aware of the importance of sanitation. This sanitation project will benefit over 200 students in these schools.

The project was inaugurated by Narangekar, Additional Block Development Officer, Uran Panchyat Samiti and Dr Nilratan Shende. Avashya Foundation provides this facility at the community and school level with the objective of promoting cleanliness and reducing drop outs among girl students. Under this initiative, Avashya Foundation has built 7 toilets benefiting more than 500 people in last 1 year.
Commenting on the occasion Arathi Shetty, Non-Executive Director, Allcargo Logistics said, “Making India a clean and healthy place for living is the responsibility of every citizen. The Government has initiated the scheme and motivated people, but it is our duty to bring it into our day-to-day life and make the PM’s vision a successful one. I am thankful to all the people from Uran Panchayat and the school management for supporting us.”
