Renowned industrialist and Chairman of Vedanta, Anil Agarwal, recently took to his Facebook account to express his love and nostalgia for his home state of Bihar. Despite English not being his first language, Agarwal beautifully conveyed the emotional significance of “homesickness” that he experienced when he had to leave Bihar due to work commitments.
In his Facebook page, Agarwal highlighted the stark differences between Bihar and the rest of the world, and how seeing the road sign of Bihar brings a smile to his face. For him, visiting Bihar means being lost in childhood memories filled with love, happiness, and good food.
Agarwal reminisced about his childhood days, where he and other children would sit around the fire during winters and help their elders make the famous Bihari delicacy, litti chokha. He also expressed his delight at finally getting the chance to visit the streets where he grew up and indulging in the delicious food, especially the litti with coriander chutney and brinjal chokha, which he claims to be the best in the world.
Agarwal concluded his post by stating that his heart and everything he holds dear is in the food plate that reminds him of his childhood memories in Bihar. His heartfelt words have struck a chord with many and received a flood of positive comments from people who have had similar experiences.
