The recognition reaffirms Anant Ambani’s lifelong commitment to animal welfare, setting new global benchmarks in ethical wildlife conservation, veterinary excellence, and sustainable animal care.

Vantara: A Safe Haven for Rescued Elephants

At the core of this recognition is Vantara’s state-of-the-art Elephant Care Centre, which serves as a sanctuary for over 240 rescued elephants. The facility provides a chain-free, secure, and enriching environment, enabling elephants to heal from years of abuse and exploitation.

The sanctuary is home to:
✅ 30 elephants rescued from circuses
✅ Over 100 elephants saved from the logging industry
✅ Several others rescued from exploitative tourism, street begging, and illegal captivity

At Vantara, elephants roam freely across a 998-acre forest reserve, engaging in natural behaviors like foraging, mud and dust bathing, and swimming in natural ponds. This humane and stress-free environment ensures their physical and psychological rehabilitation—a revolutionary approach to elephant welfare in India.
