ACC to build 50 Green Building Centres by end of the year

It has established similar GBC in Amritsar recently.

AMRITSAR: ACC Limited, part of the LafargeHolcim Group, a leading producers of cement and ready mixed concrete, will have 50 Green Building Cetres (GBCs) in various locations by the end of this year.

There are 31 GBCs operational in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bengal, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.

“The future goal is to facilitate the construction of 1 million affordable houses and toilets in rural India over the next 10 years.” statement said.

“ACC Limited is committed to sustainable construction and providing a greener future for India. ACC is mentoring upcoming entrepreneurs who can take on the challenge of procuring excellent and durable construction material across India.”, it added.
