Praveen Karn, Head Group CSR at Spark Minda Group has a cumulative experience of more than 14 years in the field of Community Development and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Karn, a Post Graduate in Rural Development from XISS aspires to serve as a catalyst for development of the less privileged section of the society. He was chosen among the 25 CSR professionals of the India by CSR Times; declared among the 50 most influential leaders in CSR by World CSR Congress and 25 Impactful CSR Leaders by India CSR.
At Spark Minda Group, he plans, develops and monitors CSR programs for over 20 locations across the country and abroad through its CSR umbrella named Spark Minda Foundation.
His program for PWDs has won National CSR Award 2019 conferred by the Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs and the President of India recently.
Under his able leadership, the Spark Minda Group has trained more than 7000 youth for skill development, employment and entrepreneurship; started 5 business integrated CSR models in prisons of India; facilitated 6000 Persons with Disability with sustainable lives.
He also has conceived a programme for empowering women through improving their health status has reached to more than 3000 women and is also registered with United Nation.
Karn’s past experiences include working with Gond, Santhal and Paharia tribes in Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh. He was also instrumental in developing Resettlement and Rehabilitation plan for a couple of Steel and Power Industries in India. Developing collaborations, leveraging strength and making a CSR project self sustainable in a multi stakeholder community project are his areas of expertise.
Couple of his notable CSR Programmes is a Programme with India Army in Uri, Jammu & Kashmir, where his team could reach to 274 Land mine affected people from the valley belonging to Indo-Pakistan border and a Programme of Government of India and Government of Vietnam for the persons with disability.
