New Delhi – Jindal Power Ltd (JPL) helped in the restoration of a bridge near Khurushulenga village in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district which was washed away due to heavy floods, a company release said.
JPL is a Jindal Steel & Power Ltd’s (JSPL) subsidiary.
The incident happened on 17 Aug because of severe outpouring in the region.
The restoration of bridge has brought a much needed relief for the people in the village.
The incident happened when a culvert broke down after heavy water flow from the rivulets.
The bridge serves as a connecting road between Hamirpur (Odisha) and Dhourabhata (Chhattisgarh) and has a heavt traffic movement.
“Development of Tamnar is the priority of the company. We are committed to all-round regional development,” Jayadev Chakrabarti, President and Unit Head of the JPL.
