PUNE: Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company Limited is the third biggest donor to corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities in Maharashtra as per the provisional data released by the Government of India for FY2017.
The company has spent Rs 16.90 crore in Maharashtra in the year. Some of the key projects were on education, vocational skills training, healthcare and environmental sustainability, amongst others that were carried out in Pune, Aurangabad and Mumbai areas.
Speaking on the report, Tarun Chugh, MD & CEO, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance, said, “I strongly believe that as a corporate citizen we must give back to the community for the overall progress. We will continue to participate in this progress and support causes that enable this growth and development.”
The company’s CSR policy is in line with the requirements of Companies Act, 2013, and outlines the modalities of selection and execution of projects through a dedicated CSR Cell.
