MUMBAI (India CSR): Bank of Baroda, India’s International Bank, celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour at its Corporate Office in Mumbai. The celebrations commenced with unfurling of the National Flag by Dr. Debadatta Chand, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Bank of Baroda, in the presence of the Bank’s Executive Directors and senior leadership along with employees, followed by singing of the National Anthem.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Debadatta Chand, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Bank of Baroda, said, “Independence Day is an occasion to honor the courage and sacrifices of those who fought for our freedom and shaped our nation’s journey, while renewing our collective responsibility towards its future. As India continues its progress towards becoming a stronger and more inclusive economy, the banking sector has an important role to play in expanding financial access, supporting enterprise and enabling aspirations. At Bank of Baroda, we remain committed to serving every section of society with trust, innovation and purpose, and to contributing meaningfully to the vision of a Viksit Bharat 2047.”
Barodians across the country also enthusiastically participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, which encourages citizens to proudly hoist the National Flag at their homes and workplaces, celebrating the collective spirit of patriotism and national pride.
To mark the occasion, employees presented a series of cultural performances showcasing India’s rich heritage, diversity and enduring spirit of unity. The program brought employees together in celebration of the nation’s journey and provided an opportunity to reaffirm their collective commitment to the values of integrity, inclusion and service to the nation.
