The summit will bring together corporate, education, healthcare and development experts to discuss livelihood, literacy and water security in the Raigarh region

RAIGARH (India CSR): Senior corporate executives, CSR professionals, social-sector leaders, educators and development experts will participate in the CSR Raigarh Summit 2026, scheduled for August 5 at Hotel Shreshta in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. The day-long summit will focus on the theme “CSR for a Viksit Raigarh Region”, shaping a shared development roadmap for one of Chhattisgarh’s most important industrial regions. It seeks to create a common platform for generating ideas, encouraging innovation, identifying regional priorities and building partnerships for sustainable development.

Hosted by India CSR, the summit will focus on building partnerships and advancing measurable action in three areas central to Raigarh’s future—sustainable livelihoods, quality education and water conservation. The summit will be convened by Rusen Kumar, Founder and Editor of India CSR, who will address the gathering on the need for stronger regional collaboration and impact-oriented CSR.

Industry Leadership

Leading corporate and CSR professionals scheduled to participate include Lella Ramachandra Reddy, Chief of Cluster, Adani Enterprises Limited; Rishikesh Sharma, Head CSR, Jindal Power Limited; and Dr. Dayanand Awasthi, Head–CSR, Epsilon Carbon Ashoka Private Limited. Sunil Ramdas, Chairman of SKA Group, which operates in the steel, power and construction sectors, will also share his perspective on the role of industry in regional development. Their participation is expected to bring practical insights into how businesses can align CSR investments with local needs, measurable outcomes and long-term community development.

Development Experts

The social-development sector will be represented by Swati Gaur, Lead–Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting at VisionSpring; Subhankar Biswas, State Head–Chhattisgarh at HelpAge India; and Mohammad Shaban, Manager–Programs at OneStage. Rajesh Mishra, Vice President–Skill and Entrepreneurship Development at MITCON, will contribute to discussions on employability, enterprise promotion and livelihood generation.

Dr. Suneel Kumar Joshi, Founder and CEO of Hydro Canopy Analyst Private Limited, is expected to highlight the importance of water management and conservation-led development. Ravindra Singh Bhatia, President of Gramin Vikas Parishad, Pathalgaon, will bring a grassroots perspective to conversations around rural development and community participation.

Education Perspectives

Education will form a central part of the summit’s development agenda. Speakers from the sector include R.K. Trivedi, Principal of O.P. Jindal Schools, and Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Professor of English in the Department of Humanities at O.P. Jindal University, Raigarh. Ramchandra Sharma, Director of Sanskar Public School and Editor-in-Chief of Dainik Krantikari Sanket, will also participate in the deliberations. The discussions are expected to explore how CSR partnerships can improve educational infrastructure, learning quality, digital access and opportunities for students in underserved communities.

Community Voices

Healthcare and community welfare will be represented by Dr. Ritu Sharma, Medico Social Worker at Government Medical College, Raigarh. Lion Shivshankar Agrawal, President of Lions Club Raigarh Midtown, will present the perspective of community-based service organisations and their role in implementing locally relevant interventions.

Shared Vision

Raigarh is a major industrial region of Chhattisgarh, with companies operating across the steel, power, mining and associated sectors. The summit seeks to encourage these organisations to combine resources, knowledge and implementation capacity around clearly identified development priorities. Participants will discuss how CSR initiatives can support stronger livelihoods, improve educational outcomes and advance water security. The programme will also encourage organisations to share impactful projects and identify opportunities for collaboration.
