NEW DELHI: Innovativus Technologies Private Limited, a DPIIT-recognized technology startup, has announced the growth of Pacibook, an AI-powered eBook store and reading platform designed to make books accessible across India’s diverse linguistic landscape. Built specifically for Indian readers, Pacibook enables users to discover, purchase, and read books in up to 22 Indian languages while preserving the integrity of the original text.

The DPIIT-recognized startup aims to break India’s language barriers in reading through AI-powered translation, interactive learning, and offline-first accessibility.

With more than 1,000 titles already available, the platform addresses one of India’s longstanding challenges in publishing and education: language accessibility. Readers can instantly translate content into the language they are most comfortable with, ask questions about the text in real time, and continue reading offline without interruption.

Making Books Accessible Across Languages

India is home to some of the world’s richest literary traditions, yet millions of readers remain unable to access books simply because they are not available in their preferred language. Pacibook was created to bridge that gap.

Unlike conventional translation tools that permanently alter content, Pacibook uses AI-powered translation as an optional reading layer. The original work remains unchanged and can be viewed at any time, ensuring that authors’ voices and intent are preserved.

The platform allows readers to browse titles, purchase securely, switch between languages while reading, and download books for offline access. Its mobile-first design caters to modern reading habits, particularly among students, professionals, and lifelong learners who frequently move between multiple languages.

An Interactive Reading Experience

Beyond multilingual access, Pacibook transforms traditional eBooks into interactive experiences. Readers can ask questions about concepts, passages, or ideas directly within the book and receive immediate contextual responses.

The platform combines AI-powered assistance with a clean, distraction-free reading environment featuring immersive page-turning effects and offline reading capabilities, creating a seamless experience for users regardless of connectivity.

A key differentiator is Pacibook’s self-hosted AI infrastructure. Rather than relying on third-party consumer AI services, the company has developed a privacy-conscious architecture that offers greater control over reader data and content security—an important consideration for educational institutions and government organizations.

Supporting Readers, Publishers, and Institutions

Pacibook serves three core stakeholder groups:

  • Readers gain access to a personal multilingual library with offline reading, AI-assisted translation, and interactive learning features.
  • Authors and Publishers can expand their reach across linguistic markets while retaining ownership, authorship, and control of original content.
  • Institutions, including colleges, universities, and government bodies, can leverage structured access models designed to support reading and learning at scale.

The company is actively engaging with educational and public-sector institutions to support multilingual learning initiatives and improve access to digital reading resources.

A Publisher-Friendly Ecosystem

As part of its growth strategy, Pacibook is inviting publishers and independent authors across India to join the platform.

The company offers a publisher-first model featuring:

  • Up to 70% revenue share for publishers and authors.
  • Transparent reporting on sales and royalties.
  • Distribution across readers in 22 Indian languages.
  • Enhanced discoverability through AI-assisted search and translation.
  • Access to both consumer and institutional markets.

The initiative aims to help publishers expand audience reach while ensuring original content and intellectual property remain fully protected.

Founder’s Vision

“In India, a reader and a great book are too often separated by nothing more than language,” said Prashant Mishra, Founder and Managing Director of Innovativus Technologies Private Limited.

“Pacibook removes that barrier. Readers can pick up a title and experience it in the language they think and feel in, while the author’s original work remains exactly as it was written. Our goal is to make knowledge, stories, and learning truly accessible to every Indian, regardless of language.”

Built by a Homegrown Technology Startup

Founded in September 2024 and headquartered in New Delhi, Innovativus Technologies Private Limited develops technology-driven solutions focused on accessibility, digital publishing, and artificial intelligence.

The company operates around three foundational principles:

  • Language-first accessibility.
  • Respect for creators and intellectual property.
  • Trust, privacy, and transparency by design.

Pacibook serves as the company’s flagship product and represents its vision of building technology that reflects the multilingual realities of modern India.
