BARSANA, UTTAR PRADESH (India CSR): Honda India Foundation (HIF), in partnership with BhaktiVedanta Eye Hospital, today flagged off a Mobile Medical Unit to strengthenaccess to eye care services across150+ villages in and around Barsana, Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh.
The flag-off ceremony was graced by Hema Malini Ji, Member of Parliament, Mathura, alongside Vinay Dhingra, Trustee, Honda India Foundation, Sachimi Takata, Director, HMSI and Rajeev Taneja, Operating Officer, Honda India Foundation.

Inmany rural communities, limited mobility, lack of awareness, and affordability challenges can delay timely access to eye care services. By deploying the Mobile Medical Unit directly to people’s doorsteps, this initiative aims to bridge this gap for an estimated 1,00,000+ residents in the region.The unit will provide free eye screenings, primary consultations, and basic treatment support and spectacles.
Through such programmes, Honda India Foundation continues to support community-focused healthcare initiatives aligned with local needs and a long-term approach.
