The administration has proposed the Ghaziabad Social Action Plan as a district-level roadmap to direct CSR investments toward priority sectors.
NEW DELHI (India CSR): Ghaziabad district administration has secured over Rs 13.4 crore in corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitments for healthcare, education and environmental initiatives during the Ghaziabad CSR & Sustainability Conclave 2026 held on Tuesday in Kaushambi.
Organised by the district administration in partnership with a Delhi-based consulting firm, the conclave brought together representatives from government departments, corporate CSR teams, industry bodies and development organisations. The event aimed to align private sector CSR investments with the district’s long-term development priorities.
Chief Development Officer Abhinav Gopal said the initiative was designed to ensure CSR funding supports a coordinated development framework rather than scattered activities. He said the administration wants government, industry and civil society to work together to direct CSR investments toward key areas such as education, healthcare and environmental sustainability.
According to a Times of India report, the conclave featured panel discussions on literacy and skill development, climate resilience in industrial regions, rural livelihoods and digital healthcare systems. These sessions highlighted the need for strategic partnerships to address local development challenges more effectively.
A key session focused on environmental concerns in the Hindon river belt, including air pollution, groundwater depletion and waste management in industrial areas. The discussion underlined the growing importance of sustainability-led CSR interventions in rapidly urbanising districts like Ghaziabad.
The event also included a closed-door roundtable with corporate leaders on the proposed Ghaziabad Social Action Plan. The district administration plans to develop this as a roadmap for channeling CSR investments into priority sectors and improving the long-term social impact of corporate participation.
The conclave marks a significant step in strengthening collaboration between the administration and the private sector. With more than Rs 13.4 crore in commitments, Ghaziabad has set the stage for focused CSR-driven development across critical sectors.
