The Mobile Unit will be dedicted to bringing preventive healthcare to the underprivileged communities across North India, including UP, Rajasthan, Haryana, & Delhi NCR region
GREATER NOIDA (India CSR): India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, today announced the inauguration of a Mobile Cancer Screening Unit equipped with advanced diagnostic facilities. Donated by IYM under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, this specialized unit is designed to bring critical cancer screening services to underprivileged communities across North India, including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, and NCR region.
The mobile unit is designed to provide comprehensive cancer screening through state-of-the-art equipment such as X-ray, mammography, and gynaecological examination facilities. Operated by GIMS, the unit will conduct free-of-charge screening camps in rural and semi-urban areas, ensuring early detection and timely intervention for those who otherwise lack access to tertiary healthcare. All operational costs, including medical, paramedical, and support staff will be fully granted by IYM.

Globally, mobile screening vans have proven to be an effective solution for delivering diagnostic services to remote and marginalized populations. Recognizing a similar need, IYM and GIMS partnered to establish this dedicated unit, with the aim of making preventive healthcare accessible and free of cost. This initiative will particularly benefit rural, semi-urban, and underserved women, helping detect cancer at its earliest stages and improving chances of successful treatment.
