Project SAMBHAV: Transforming Lives Through Education and Skills
At the heart of Accelya’s CSR strategy lies Project SAMBHAV, a comprehensive initiative dedicated to education, skill-building, and livelihood enhancement. Implemented through Catalyst for Social Action (CSA), a registered charitable organization, Project SAMBHAV aims to empower orphaned and disadvantaged children by providing them access to quality education, healthcare, nutrition, and life-skills training.
In FY 2024–25, ASIL allocated Rs 1.66 crores (Rs 1,66,68,600) to Project SAMBHAV—making it the company’s largest single CSR investment of the year.
Geographical Reach and Impact
The initiative extended across multiple states, including:
- Maharashtra: Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Palghar, Pune, Baramati, Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, and Nashik.
- Goa: South and North Goa.
- Madhya Pradesh: Indore and Hosangabad.
- Odisha: Kandhamal and Kalahandi districts.
Through these interventions, the program directly impacted 1,461 individuals, providing educational and skill-building opportunities to children and youth from vulnerable communities.
Core Activities and Beneficiaries
Project SAMBHAV focused on:
- Education and Digital Literacy for children in institutional and community-based care.
- Vocational and Livelihood Training for women and youth.
- Healthcare and Nutrition programs for underprivileged children.
Every beneficiary under Project SAMBHAV belonged to vulnerable or marginalized communities, ensuring inclusive development. The initiative also contributed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4 – Quality Education and SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth).
Saving Young Lives: Healthcare for Children with Heart Disease
Beyond education, Accelya Solutions India extended its CSR support to healthcare, addressing one of the most urgent medical challenges in India—congenital heart disease in children.
In partnership with the Sri Sathya Sai Health & Education Trust, ASIL contributed Rs 89.75 lakhs (Rs 89,75,400) towards the free treatment of children with congenital heart defects. The initiative aimed at providing early diagnosis, surgical intervention, and post-operative care for economically disadvantaged families who otherwise lack access to specialized healthcare.
Impact and Reach
This life-saving initiative benefitted 52 children, all belonging to low-income families from marginalized communities. Treatments were conducted at specialized hospitals managed by the Trust, primarily located in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
By alleviating the financial burden of life-threatening healthcare expenses, ASIL not only supported medical intervention but also restored hope to dozens of families. The initiative directly aligns with SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being, emphasizing health equity and access to essential medical services.
CSR Governance and Ethical Oversight
Accelya Solutions India has instituted a strong governance framework for CSR management, ensuring transparency, ethical spending, and adherence to regulatory guidelines under the Companies Act, 2013.
The Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, chaired by Meena Jagtiani, oversaw the planning, execution, and monitoring of all CSR projects during FY 2024–25. Other committee members included James Davidson, Ravindran Menon, and Saurav Adhikari (appointed July 26, 2024).
The CSR Committee met three times during the year to review project progress and impact. Its formal statement confirming compliance and monitoring mechanisms was annexed to the company’s annual Board Report, attesting to accountability and performance integrity.
Accelya also ensured complete transparency by publishing its CSR Policy and Annual Action Plan for FY 2024–25 on its official website, maintaining open access to stakeholders and regulators.
Global Social Responsibility Program
FY 2025 also marked the launch of Accelya’s Global Social Responsibility Program, a volunteering and giving initiative that extended beyond statutory CSR. The program encouraged employees in Mumbai and Pune to participate in educational mentorship, community outreach, and fundraising activities.
This initiative complements the company’s core CSR efforts, instilling a culture of empathy and collective responsibility among its global workforce. The focus on employee-driven engagement underscores Accelya’s belief that real change begins within the organization.
Full Compliance, No Unspent Balance
A highlight of Accelya’s FY25 CSR report is its 100% compliance record—the company spent its entire mandated CSR budget of Rs 2.56 crores (Rs 2,56,44,000), with no unspent amount requiring transfer to an escrow account.
This precision in planning and implementation demonstrates the company’s commitment to ensuring funds are used effectively, timely, and ethically. Moreover, the absence of administrative overheads or indirect costs reflects operational efficiency and a results-oriented approach.
Vision for the Future: Integrating Technology and Humanity
Looking ahead, Accelya Solutions India aims to deepen the integration of technology-driven innovation with its social impact agenda. The company’s FLX ONE and FLX AIViator platforms exemplify how data and AI can create efficiency and growth in aviation while CSR initiatives drive progress at the grassroots.
By combining business excellence with community care, Accelya is reinforcing its position as a purpose-driven global technology leader. The company remains steadfast in supporting projects that uplift marginalized communities, empower youth through education and skill training, and deliver accessible healthcare for all.
