RAIGARH (India CSR): As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening rural education, Adani Power Limited, Raigarh, through its CSR arm Adani Foundation, launched a meaningful initiative under Project Utthan. A grand School Enrollment Campaign 2025 was organized at the Government Primary and Upper Primary School in Bada Bhandar village, Raigarh district.
Empowering Education with School Kits
To mark the occasion, newly enrolled students were provided with educational kits comprising school bags, notebooks, and stationery items. These kits symbolize a strong start to their academic journey and reinforce the Foundation’s focus on quality education for all.
Esteemed Guests and Community Participation
The event was graced by the presence of Shashdhara Das (Chief Business Officer), Ajit Rai (Project Head), and Dhananjay Singh (General Manager – Land). Local leadership, including Sarpanch Omprakash Gupta, Deputy Sarpanch Representative Ghanshyam Yadav, School Development Committee members, Panchayat members, Principal S.L. Sidar, and school staff, also participated, highlighting strong community engagement.
Encouraging Values and Discipline
Addressing the students, Sarpanch Omprakash Gupta encouraged regular study habits, timely homework completion, and minimizing distractions like excessive use of mobile phones and television. He praised Project Utthan as a significant milestone in advancing rural education.
Messages of Confidence and Vision
Speaking at the event, Das, Rai, and Singh motivated the children to pursue their dreams with confidence. Singh also shared insights into the long-term vision and future plans of Project Utthan, aimed at transforming the rural education landscape.
Widespread Educational Outreach
Currently, Project Utthan is being implemented in 10 primary and 6 upper primary schools across Bada Bhandar, Supa, and Bunga cluster centers in the Pusaur Block. In addition, educational kits are being distributed across schools in 54 villages linked to Adani Power’s Rail and Water Pump House Projects, benefiting more than 4,000 students in 80 schools.
Strengthening School Infrastructure
To enhance learning environments, 350 sets of school desks and benches have already been distributed to 10 primary schools. In total, 750 desks and benches are being supplied across the railway corridor areas, improving infrastructure and comfort for students.
Holistic Social Responsibility
Alongside education, the Adani Foundation is actively engaged in various areas such as healthcare, livelihood development, skill training, women empowerment, environmental sustainability, and community development. The Foundation’s mission is to promote inclusive and sustainable growth, ensuring empowerment and progress for every section of society.
