MUMBAI (India CSR): In a significant step toward giving back to the city, Ajmera Realty Infra India has developed a Miyawaki-themed forest in the open space of Kalina Campus. The real estate company has planted 5,000 native trees as part of its continuous CSR commitment; these trees will be cultivated into a healthy, self-sustaining forest ecosystem.
Leadership and Launch
In the presence of several eminent dignitaries, Manoj Ajmera, Managing Director of Ajmera Group, and Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni, Vice-Chancellor, Mumbai University, launched the initiative.
Ongoing CSR Commitment
Ajmera Realty has been working for social causes for over five decades, and this mass-scale plantation drive is a continuation of that work. The company has actively supported projects that focus on building check dams, education, and protecting the environment through its Ajmera Trust. This project is a step towards that goal, which is to combine urban growth with environmental responsibility.

Statement from Leadership
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Manoj Ajmera, Managing Director, Ajmera Group, said: “We strongly believe in creating an ecosystem that strikes a balance between nature and urban development. This initiative is a step in that direction. The Miyawaki forest method is an ideal approach to strengthening the city’s biodiversity.
Education and Awareness
We truly are proud of how well we executed with Mumbai University on this project. It’s not just about making a green space in the middle of the city; it’s also about building a long-term partnership to raise awareness and teach people about the environment. We are excited to help the University add courses and other opportunities for students to get involved with sustainability projects that focus on the environment.”
