LTIMindtree Ltd CSR Spending Report of Rs 92.8 Crore for FY 2024-25

NEW DELHI (India CSR): In a remarkable demonstration of corporate social responsibility (CSR), LTIMindtree Limited has announced its CSR spending for the fiscal year 2024-25, totaling Rs 92.8 crores. This amount, which meets the statutory requirement under Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, has been strategically allocated across various initiatives aimed at education, health, environment, and community development. LTIMindtree Ltd’s efforts have touched the lives of 748,915 beneficiaries, showcasing its commitment to creating a positive social impact.

CSR Overview and Compliance

LTIMindtree Limited’s CSR policy is deeply rooted in its core values of purpose, care, and impact. LTIMindtree’s CSR Committee, chaired by Ms. Apurva Purohit, ensures that all CSR activities are aligned with LTIMindtree’s vision and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For the year 2024-25, LTIMindtree Ltd spent INR 92.8 crores, with INR 88.42 crores actually disbursed, and the remaining INR 4.4 crores transferred to the unspent CSR account to be utilized in the following year. This spending reflects LTIMindtree’s dedication to not only meeting legal obligations but also exceeding expectations in creating meaningful change.

LTIMindtree’s financials further underscore its commitment. With a turnover of INR 38,008.1 crores and a net worth of INR 21,834.1 crores (standalone), LTIMindtree’s CSR obligation was calculated at INR 92.8 crores, which it fully met. The Chief Financial Officer certified that all funds were utilized as approved by the CSR Committee and the Board of Directors.

Key Focus Areas and Projects

LTIMindtree’s CSR initiatives are categorized into linear projects and the Integrated Village Development Program (IVDP). Linear projects cover traditional CSR areas such as education, health, livelihood skills, and environmental conservation. The IVDP is a comprehensive approach that addresses multiple focus areas simultaneously, ensuring long-term sustainability.

  • Education Scholarship: Supporting 7 students, this program provides educational opportunities to underprivileged children, fostering academic excellence.
  • Livelihood Skills & Ultra Poverty Eradication: Training 2,030 individuals in skills to escape poverty, this project enhances economic independence.
  • Environmental Conservation: Initiatives like Tree-tings, Mangroves, and Forest Biodiversity have maintained over 2.7 million trees across 3,403.7 acres, contributing to biodiversity and climate resilience.

Impact on Beneficiaries

The impact of LTIMindtree’s CSR initiatives is profound and far-reaching. Education programs have reached 254,956 children, providing access to quality learning opportunities. Health camps have benefited 86,044 patients, improving access to curative healthcare. Water conservation efforts have created a storage capacity of 876,202 cubic meters, addressing water scarcity in rural areas. Agricultural interventions have covered 4,492.5 acres, benefiting 15,067 farmers through regenerative agriculture training.

Youth empowerment is a key focus, with 2,628 individuals trained in 2024-25, securing employment with salaries ranging from INR 1.44 LPA to INR 2.40 LPA, and an average salary of INR 1.56 LPA. Infrastructure development, including 168,050 kW of solar electricity and 132 sanitation blocks, has further enhanced community well-being.

Focus on Aspirational Districts

LTIMindtree has prioritized aspirational districts identified by government bodies, ensuring that marginalized communities receive targeted support. LTIMindtree Ltd invested in 16 districts across states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, and Maharashtra. For example, INR 50 crores was spent in Subir, Gujarat, and INR 25 crores in Vijaypur-Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh, addressing critical needs in education, health, and infrastructure.

Future Plans and Ongoing Projects

LTIMindtree is committed to expanding its CSR footprint, with plans to further develop its IVDP and linear projects. LTIMindtree will continue to focus on aspirational districts, aiming to deepen its impact in underserved regions. Ongoing monitoring and impact assessments, as mandated by the Companies (CSR Policy) Rules, 2014, ensure that initiatives remain effective and sustainable. The unspent INR 4.4 crores, transferred to the CSR account on April 17, 2025, will support ongoing projects in the next fiscal year.

Transparency and Governance

LTIMindtree maintains high standards of transparency and governance in its CSR activities. The CSR Committee, comprising Ms. Apurva Purohit, Mr. Debashis Chatterjee, and Mr. Sanjeev Aga, met four times in 2024-25 to oversee project implementation. LTIMindtree’s grievance redressal mechanism ensures that community concerns are addressed promptly, with no complaints reported in 2024-25. The CSR Policy and Annual Action Plan are publicly available on LTIMindtree’s website (CSR Policy).
