MUMBAI (India CSR): Tata Capital, the flagship financial services arm of the Tata Group, is pleased to announce the continuation of its Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Program for the academic year 2025. The program has empowered students from economically weaker sections, enabling them to pursue their academic aspirations. As of January 2025, the Pankh Scholarship has benefited over 21,000 youth, with the number expected to cross 25,000 by the end of the financial year. This initiative reaffirms Tata Capital’s unwavering commitment to bridging educational gaps and serving underprivileged communities across the country.

This year, Tata Capital has introduced an exclusive chapter of the Pankh Scholarship, which focuses on supporting youth from marginalized backgrounds pursuing focused degrees in areas such as medicine, aerospace engineering, quantum physics, architecture, and various specialized sciences. This exclusive chapter aims to create a talent pool of extraordinary individuals contributing to the nation and the world through their expertise in science and the humanities.

Tata Capital’s Pankh Scholarship program demonstrates its commitment to affirmative action, with a special emphasis on empowering underprivileged communities. Eligible students can receive scholarships covering up to 80% of tuition fees or monetary grants ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹12,000, based on their course of study and financial need. Tata Capital’s employees actively contribute to the program by mentoring and guiding students to succeed in their chosen fields.

Sridhar Sarathy, Chief Ethics Officer & Head – Sustainability, CSR, at Tata Capital Limited, said, “Education is the cornerstone of a brighter and more equitable future. At Tata Capital, we are deeply committed to driving meaningful change through initiatives like the Pankh Scholarship Program, which empowers talented students from underprivileged backgrounds to turn their aspirations into achievements. With the introduction of the exclusive chapter, we take another significant step in nurturing exceptional talent poised to make a lasting impact on society.”
