PUNE (India CSR): Quick Heal Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Quick Heal Technologies Limited, hosted the ‘Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha’ Awards on January 12, 2025, in Pune, Maharashtra. This event celebrated the extraordinary efforts of institutions, teachers, and students who are championing cyber safety across India.

The awards ceremony saw the presence of C. P. Radhakrishnan, Governor of Maharashtra, Dr. Prakash Mahanwar, Vice Chancellor of Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, and Anupama Katkar, Chairperson of Quick Heal Foundation. Also attending were Dr. Kailash Katkar, Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Sanjay Katkar, Joint Managing Director, and Vishal Salvi, CEO of Quick Heal.

Empowering Communities Through Cyber Education

The ‘Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha’ initiative empowers youth by enhancing their leadership, communication, and digital literacy skills. In alignment with ‘Digital India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat,’ this initiative bridges the digital divide by educating underserved communities on cyber safety.

To date, the program has reached 64.78 lakh individuals through street plays, workshops, and digital campaigns. Partnerships with over 120 institutions have enabled the training of 4,600 Cyber Warriors and sensitized more than 55.92 lakh students in 13 states. The inclusion of the ‘Earn and Learn’ program has also provided youth with real-world experience while building awareness in their communities.

Honoring Excellence in Cyber Safety

The 2025 awards honored educators, student leaders, and institutions for their exceptional contributions to digital safety:

  • Best Principal Award: For fostering stakeholder engagement and impactful outreach.
  • Best Teacher Award: Recognizing dedication in mentoring students.
  • Best Performing Team Award: Celebrating student-led clubs for outstanding community engagement.
  • Best President Award: For leadership and innovation in club activities.
  • Best Community Director Award: Acknowledging impactful community outreach initiatives.
  • Cyber Smart Club Award: Recognizing excellence in online and offline community education.
  • Best Club Overall Award: Presented to the top-performing institution for exceptional impact and leadership.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Cyber Leaders

During her speech, Ms. Anupama Katkar emphasized the program’s mission. “Our journey to build a cyber-safe society strengthens with each step. The dedication of students, educators, and institutions reinforces the importance of creating a secure digital future,” she said. She also extended her gratitude to Maharashtra Cyber, local police, and industry partners for their continued support.

Expanding the Horizon of CSR Initiatives

Beyond cyber education, Quick Heal Foundation’s initiatives focus on holistic community development:

  • Arogya Yan Initiative: Medical vans providing healthcare in remote areas.
  • Shaalangan Counselling Centre: Mental health support for students.
  • Tribal Development Projects: Focused on education and livelihood programs.

Commitment to SDGs

Aligned with SDGs 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, and 17, Quick Heal Foundation is committed to building a more inclusive and digitally secure world. By fostering partnerships and empowering youth, the foundation aims to create a new wave of responsible digital citizens.

The event’s success reinforces the belief that collaboration and community-led initiatives can pave the way for a safer and brighter digital future.
