The role of tiles has expanded much beyond their basic functionality today. Tiles are not just used for flooring, but even for decorating the walls. Both floor tiles and wall tiles play a vital role in a room’s overall look and feel. As wall tiles are more easily noticeable, they have a larger impact on the interior of your space. With constantly changing interior design standards, it becomes important to be aware of the latest tile trends and keep your home updated with the same.

When choosing tiles for walls, there are various factors that you need to consider. The color, design, and finish of wall tiles are among the most important factors to take into account. Instead of choosing tiles that are in trend for a particular period, you should focus on choosing timeless designs that will never go out of style, at least not for the coming few years.

We are here to help you make the right choice. Below are some of the most innovative wall tile designs that you can consider for an elegant timeless interior design:

1. Artistic Marble-Look Tiles

Marble-look tiles still top the list of most trending tile designs after several decades of being in existence. However, what has changed over the years is the variety of designs available in marble-look vitrified or glazed vitrified tiles. Options in marble-look tiles are not just restricted to light colors and basic designs now. You can find these tiles in plenty of designs and colors.

Marble-look tiles in bold colors and artistic designs can go perfectly with modern and luxurious spaces. Johnson’s Porselano range of large-sized tiles has some amazing designs in this category.

2. Wood-Look Tiles in Matt Finish

Wood-look vitrified or glazed vitrified tiles can add a touch of modernity as well as a natural element to your space. While these are highly preferred for flooring, wood-look tiles are also suitable for walls. The best thing about choosing wood-look tiles is that they never go out of style. If you are looking for timeless wall tile design, wood-look tiles would be the perfect choice.

You can create a perfect accent wall by installing large-sized wood-look matt finish tiles from Johnson’s 60×120 cm tiles collection. If you are looking for an even larger size, you can go for the 80×160 cm wood-look tiles from Johnson’s collection. For adding some pattern to your space with wood-look tiles, you should instead prefer the 20×120 cm wood-look tile planks from Johnson’s Porselano collection.

3. Tiles With Floral or Leaf Patterns

Plain and minimalist design tiles have their own significance, but nothing can replace tiles with eye-soothing floral and leaf patterns. Floral design tiles are preferred for kitchens or bathrooms, but you can even find suitable options for living rooms and bedrooms in Johnson’s wall tiles collection. Usually, floral patterns for bathrooms and kitchens are more colorful and intricate. On the other hand, bedroom and living room wall tiles have simpler and larger floral designs.

H&R Johnson’s 80×160 cm tile collection has some perfect options for larger spaces like living areas and bedrooms. If you are looking for leaf patterns, you can check out Johnson’s Porselano collection of 60×120 cm tiles, which contains many such designs. For smaller sizes, you can explore floral tile designs available in Johnson’s 30×60 cm ceramic wall tiles collection.

4. Natural Stone-Look Tiles

If you want to add some depth and texture to your space, you can look for natural stone-look wall tiles. These tiles are suitable for spaces that follow a naturalistic interior theme. Stone-look tiles are a great option to consider if you want to give your space a unique and visually appealing look. This category of tiles includes tiles that resemble natural stones and natural brick patterns.

The 30×60 cm tiles collection from Johnson’s Porselano range has some best stone-look tile designs available in the market. You can also check out Johnson’s 30×60 cm and 30×45 cm ceramic wall tiles collection for stone-look tile options for kitchens or bathrooms.

5. Geometric Pattern Tiles

For those who want something between minimal designs and overbusy textured patterns, tiles with geometric designs are the perfect choice. These tiles go well with almost every space. Be it your living room’s accent wall or kitchen/bathroom backsplash wall, you can make it stand out by installing geometric design tiles.

If you are looking for a geometric pattern tile in neutral colors, you can go for basic geometric designs from Johnson’s 60×120 cm Porselano collection. If you want larger sizes and brighter colors, you can check out options available in their 80×160 cm tile collection. Their 30×60 cm ceramic wall tiles collection contains many more geometric design tiles that are suitable for smaller spaces like kitchens and bathrooms.

Conclusion

When choosing tiles for your house, you must be careful about every single factor. As it is going to be a long-term investment, make sure that you put some good time and effort into choosing the right wall tiles. Along with the design, the quality, durability, and ease of cleaning of tiles also matter. For kitchens and bathrooms, you can choose ceramic, vitrified, or glazed vitrified tiles. For living spaces and bedrooms, it is advisable to go for vitrified or glazed vitrified tiles only.

Top tile brands like H&R Johnson offer high-quality wall tiles with unique and eye-catching designs. Their collection of wall tiles has a wide variety of sizes and design options available to cater to the needs of every individual. Just make sure that you have a clear idea of what type of tile you want and explore their collection to find a suitable design for your space.
