NEW DELHI (India CSR): Dreamsphere 2024, the distinctive art exhibition by Arts and Souls Foundation in association with Kaizzen, showcasing the incredible talent of neurodiverse artists, concluded with overwhelming success.

Held in the national capital, New Delhi, at Le Meridien the exhibition brought together a vibrant community of artists, art enthusiasts, and dignitaries, leaving an indelible mark on the art world and reaffirming the power of creativity as a universal language.

The exhibition featured close to 100 artworks by 26 exceptionally talented neurodiverse artists, each offering a unique perspective through various mediums. The event, curated by the Arts and Souls Foundation, provided these artists a platform to share their creative expressions, captivating visitors with creations ranging from vibrant abstract expressionism to thought-provoking conceptual pieces.

The occasion was graced by esteemed guests, including Shombi Sharp, the UN Resident Coordinator in India, who served as the Chief Guest. Also, Padma Bhushan awardee, Rajeev Sethi and Padma Shri awardee, Dr Harsh Mahajan marked their presence as the Guests of Honour, lending their support to this significant event.

Expressing his love for India, the UNRC Shombi Sharp shared “When we secure the rights of Persons with Disabilities, we move our world closer to upholding the values and principles of the UN Charter. It is a human right story first and foremost. It is also a story about improving the lives and potential of everyone in society! Inclusive societies are more vibrant, equitable, and resilient. Each piece of art displayed at the DreamSphere Art exhibition represents not only individual talent but also a collective effort towards greater societal inclusion.”

“Miracles happen when everyone comes together to perform small acts of kindness, and this event is a living example of the same. I feel privileged to be able to be a part of this initiative. The support of Sharp, Sethi and Dr Mahajan underscores the importance of inclusivity in every field today,” said Nikhil Pavithran, Group President, Kaizzen.

Underlining the limitless potential of the differently abled, Sethi shared a powerful message: “As individuals we are all differently abled, every individual is different. Diversity is the quality of the human mind.” His words resonated with the core values of the exhibition, emphasising the importance of embracing diversity in all its forms.

Furthermore, Dr Harsh Mahajan expressed his admiration for the director of the Arts and Souls Foundation, praising their ability to transform neurodiverse individuals into professionals in their own right. “This transformation is not just a professional journey but a profound shift in how we perceive and value the contributions of neurodiverse individuals,” said Dr Mahajan.

Supported by Kaizzen Care, Dreamsphere 2024 attracted a footfall of close to 400 people.  The excellent sales not only reflected the high level of interest and appreciation for the artwork on display, but is a source of motivation for the young artists. The majority of the proceeds from the sales will go directly to the talented artists, further supporting their artistic journeys and professional development.

Sharing his ambitious vision for the future, Rahul Thakur, Director of Arts and Souls Foundation revealed plans to establish a production house that would provide employment opportunities for specially abled artists. “Our goal is to go beyond exhibitions and create sustainable opportunities that empower these artists to lead independent, fulfilling lives,” said Mr. Thakur.

Echoing his words, Suvidha Ohri, Head of Marketing at the Arts and Souls Foundation, reflected on the deeper meaning behind the artworks, stating, “These artworks are not just colours on canvas; they are stories of triumphs, of victory, and the challenges that parents of specially abled individuals face. It is my deepest wish that through this foundation, we are able to create a platform where specially abled individuals are free from all inhibitions and create an identity of their own.”

As Dreamsphere 2024 concludes, the impact of this exhibition will continue to reverberate throughout the art community and beyond. The event has set a precedent for future exhibitions, demonstrating that when given the opportunity, neurodiverse artists can create work that is not only artistically profound but also socially transformative.

The Arts and Souls Foundation, along with its partners and supporters, remains committed to nurturing and promoting neurodiverse talent. Plans are already underway for future events that will continue to celebrate the artistic achievements of these extraordinary individuals.Kaizzen Care, the CSR wing of Kaizzen, one of India’s fastest growing integrated communications agencies. It aims to drive a positive impact among communities and encourage societal change through various programs and collaborations. Kaizzen Care has been supporting various causes related to neurodiverse children from the past three years.
