Secunderabad (India CSR): Omega Forum for Social Impact (OFSI), the CSR arm of Omega Healthcare, and Katradi, an initiative of Wind Dancers Trust India, organised the three-day She Matters 2026 leadership camp at Satyodayam Retreat House in Secunderabad.
The programme brought together 38 grassroots women leaders from four partner organisations for training in leadership, facilitation and community project development. Sessions used traditional arts, storytelling, movement and creative expression to encourage self-reflection and collective learning.
Participants discussed gender-based violence, social stereotypes, financial independence and women’s role in community leadership. The camp also provided practical training in proposal writing, budgeting, project planning, facilitation and community mobilisation.
Sunanda Rangarajan, CEO of OFSI, said the programme provided women leaders with tools to build confidence, identify their strengths and develop community-based responses. Sangeeta Isvaran, founding trustee of Katradi, highlighted the role of arts in encouraging empathy, dialogue and reflection on social injustice.
During the concluding sessions, participants identified issues affecting their communities and began developing project ideas. Each participant is expected to implement a grassroots initiative in the coming months. The programme combined leadership development with arts-based experiential learning to support women’s participation in locally driven community action across their respective regions.
