How to buy tickets for Republic Day 2024 Parade in Delhi

The Republic Day 2024 Parade in Delhi is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness the glory and diversity of India.

Republic Day 2024 Parade in Delhi: India will be celebrating its 75th Republic Day on January 26, 2024 which happens to be Friday. Republic Day is one of the most important national festivals in India, celebrated on January 26 every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1950. On this day, a grand parade is held in the national capital, New Delhi, showcasing the cultural and military diversity of the country. The parade is attended by the President of India, the Prime Minister, other dignitaries, and thousands of spectators.

If you are planning to witness this spectacular event in person, you need to buy tickets in advance. Here is a guide on how to buy tickets online and offline for the Republic Day 2024 Parade in Delhi.

Online Booking

The online booking for the Republic Day 2024 Parade tickets will start from January 7, 2024 and end on January 25, 2024. You can book your tickets through the official website of the Ministry of Defence, www.mod.gov.in, or through the mobile app, R-Day Parade 2024. You will need to register with your name, mobile number, email address, and Aadhaar number. You will also need to upload a scanned copy of your photo identity proof, such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, or voter ID card.

The tickets are priced at Rs. 500 for reserved seats and Rs. 100 or Rs. 20 for unreserved seats. You can pay online using your debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI. You will receive a confirmation email and SMS with a QR code after successful payment. You will need to print the QR code and carry it along with your original photo identity proof to the venue on the day of the parade.

Offline Booking

The offline booking for the Republic Day 2024 Parade tickets will start from January 7, 2024 and end on January 25, 2024. You can buy your tickets from any of the following authorized outlets in Delhi:

  • North Block Roundabout
  • South Block Roundabout
  • Pragati Maidan (Gate No. 1, Bhairon Road)
  • Jantar Mantar (Main Gate)
  • Shastri Bhawan (Near Gate No. 1)
  • India Gate (Near Jamnagar House)
  • Red Fort (Near Police Picket)
  • Parliament House Reception Office (Special Counter for MPs)

The tickets are priced at Rs. 500 for reserved seats and Rs. 100 or Rs. 20 for unreserved seats. You will need to show your photo identity proof, such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, or voter ID card, and pay in cash at the counter. You will receive a physical ticket with a barcode after successful purchase. You will need to carry the ticket along with your original photo identity proof to the venue on the day of the parade.

Important Points to Remember

  • The tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. You cannot sell or exchange your tickets with anyone else.
  • The tickets are valid only for the Republic Day 2024 Parade on January 26, 2024, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. You cannot use them for any other event or date.
  • The entry to the venue will start from 7:00 am and close at 9:15 am. You will need to reach the venue well in advance and go through security checks. You cannot carry any bags, cameras, mobile phones, or any other electronic devices inside the venue. You will have to deposit them at the designated counters outside the venue.
  • You will have to follow the instructions of the security personnel and the volunteers at the venue. You will have to maintain social distancing and wear a mask at all times. You will have to abide by the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the government.
  • You will have to sit in the seat allotted to you as per your ticket. You cannot change your seat or move around during the parade. You will have to remain seated until the end of the parade and exit the venue in an orderly manner.
