BENGALURU (India CSR): A bomb threat was received by the Chitrakoota School in Kengeri, Bengaluru, recently, creating panic and chaos among the students, staff, and parents. The school authorities immediately informed the police, who rushed to the spot and evacuated the premises. A bomb squad and a sniffer dog team were also deployed to conduct a thorough search of the school building and the surrounding area.
The police later declared that the bomb threat was a hoax, and that no explosive device was found in the school. The police also launched an investigation to trace the origin and motive of the threat call, and to identify and arrest the culprit.
Details of the Incident
The incident occurred around 9:30 am on Monday, when the school received an email from an unknown sender, claiming that a bomb had been planted in the school, and that it would explode in 10 minutes.
The email also warned that if the school tried to inform the police or evacuate the students, the bomb would be detonated immediately.
