Ashoka University appoints Dr. Hiroshi Hamada as Distinguished Professor of Biology, reaffirming its dedication to fostering an academic environment that promotes intellectual curiosity and interdisciplinary perspectives.

Dr. Hamada, formerly the Director of RIKEN Centre for Biosystems Dynamics Research in Japan, is renowned for groundbreaking research in developmental biology, particularly in understanding body axis establishment and left-right asymmetry in vertebrate embryos.

Dr. Hamada’s presence will further advance research at Ashoka University’s Trivedi School of Biosciences, focusing on synthetic biology, data science, and disease biology using innovative interdisciplinary approaches.
