Over 70,000 entries from youth across India bring innovative solutions to pressing social issues under CSR

‘Solve for Tomorrow’ 2023: Record Participation

Samsung India declared the top 30 teams for its flagship educational competition ‘Solve for Tomorrow’. Focused on fostering innovative thinking and problem-solving among the youth aged 16 to 22, the competition prompted them to provide creative solutions around four broad themes – Education & Learning, Health & Wellness, Environment & Sustainability, and Diversity & Inclusion. ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ 2023 recorded participation from across the nation, receiving over 70,000 registrations from youth across 500 cities, towns, and villages, reflecting India’s vibrant innovative and entrepreneurial spirit.

Quotes from the Leaders

Mr. Hyun Kim, Corporate Vice President, Samsung Southwest Asia, emphasized Samsung’s commitment to harnessing the power of India’s youth. He expressed his excitement about the massive participation and the innovative ideas that emerged from the competition.

Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director, IIT Delhi, expressed his satisfaction with the program’s alignment with India’s innovation ecosystem, while Mr. Jeet Vijay, CEO, MeitY Startup Hub, acknowledged the potential of the ideas presented by the teams, particularly from non-metro cities.

Upcoming Events for the Top Teams

They will also be given INR 20,000 each to create initial prototypes and later pitch their ideas to a jury comprising young Samsung employees and experts from FITT, IIT Delhi and MeitY Startup Hub. Apart from these, team members will also visit Samsung India offices, R&D centres, and the Samsung Opera House in Bengaluru.

Each member of the top 30 teams will receive a Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 laptop, Galaxy Buds2 Pro, and a certificate for attending the bootcamp. The competition will conclude with the announcement of three winners, who stand a chance to win INR 1.5 crore in prize money and Samsung products.
