Everyone knows how important car insurance is. The car owner has to get his car insured. Car owners can get any car insured as per their wish but when you get your car insured, you need to be aware of some things. In this article, we are going to tell you what are the things to be kept in mind before getting car insurance.

Why is vehicle insurance necessary?

First of all, you should know why vehicle insurance is necessary. If your vehicle is insured, then the insurance company provides you protection in case of any accident. Due to insurance, the driver does not have to face the hassle of legal action. Having third party insurance is quite essential in India. Because if an insured vehicle collides with another vehicle, then the insurance company pays compensation for this accident. In this way, if your vehicle is insured, you will be protected from financial loss.

Compare Insurance Policies

There are many insurance companies in the market, which offer you different types of insurance policies. Everyone’s insurance policies are different, so whenever you get your car insured, take complete information about it before paying. So that you do not have to face trouble going forward. You can search by digital market on google or visit to the nearest any car insurance company branch.

Insurance cover comparison is essential

When you compare insurance policies, you have to take special care of what is not covered in your insurance policy, which is being covered in other insurance policies. We should take the insurance of the company which is covering the most.

Also compare the products of insurance companies.

As we have already told you that many companies offer different policies during insurance. That’s why it will be important for you to know what facilities the insurance company is providing in the premium. If you do not have much knowledge about this, then you can take the help of your close or any expert.

Take advice from a knowledgeable person

Everyone does car insurance these days. In such a situation, you can get to know about car insurance from someone close to you or a friend. Then you can take that insurance for your car which seems appropriate according to your needs.

Everyone knows that before taking any vehicle on the road, be it a car or a bike, it is very important to have insurance. In such a situation, if you also want to get insurance, then you too can understand something from this article.

This will help you understand in a better way if you are sure about insuring your car.

How to claim car insurance?

In case of damage to the car due to an accident, that loss can be compensated through insurance. Let us know the easy steps to claim car insurance.

  • Inform your insurance company – Immediately after the accident, call your insurance company and inform them about the damage done to the car.
  • File an FIR report with the police – Inform the police immediately about the accident. Also file an FIR report if needed. It is necessary to file an FIR with the police in case of theft, road accident or fire. Minor dents and scratches on the car do not require FIR. If there is a third party involved in the accident, then in such a situation also an FIR will be required.
  • Take pictures of the car and the accident spot – After an accident, it is important to take enough pictures of the car and the accident spot to file an insurance claim. This is required as proof for the claim.
  • Submit the necessary documents – For the claim, the insurance company needs some important documents, such as a copy of the insurance policy, FIR, driving license of the owner-driver, a copy of the registration certificate of your car, etc. So submit these documents carefully.
  • Action to be taken in case of theft – If your car is stolen, inform your insurance company about it. Along with this, register an FIR in the local police station. Submit the documents like RC, your driving license, FIR etc. to the insurance company. If the police are not able to locate the car within a reasonable time, they will issue a non-traceable certificate. The insurance company will then settle the claim and pay you the current market value of your car
