In addition, SST has also supported tiger reserves in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka through habitat conservation, water availability improvement, wildlife protection, and facility upgrades.

1. Supporting Sustainable Development in Villages
TVS Motor Company’s CSR arm, Srinivasan Services Trust (SST), has been successful in promoting sustainable development in over 2500 villages across five states in India. The trust has focused on areas such as economic development, healthcare, education, and infrastructure, with the help of community involvement and government departments.
2. Supporting Tiger Conservation
SST has supported tiger reserves in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka by conserving habitat, increasing water availability, protecting wildlife, and improving facilities. The trust has also carried out habitat improvement work and supported anti-poaching efforts in Mudumalai Tiger Reserve.
3. Recognition for Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve
The Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve (STR) in Tamil Nadu has been recognized for its excellent management and efforts in tiger conservation. In 2019, the reserve received an award from the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) for its success in the 4th cycle of Management Effectiveness Evaluation. In 2021, the STR received the global TX2 award for doubling its number of tigers in a decade. In 2022, the reserve was also accredited by the Global Conservation Assured | Tiger Standards (CA|TS).
4. Donation to Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve
As a show of appreciation for the STR’s efforts, SST has decided to donate a minibus to the reserve for visitor use. In addition, SST has also pledged to support tiger conservation initiatives in Tamil Nadu with a donation of Rs 20 lakh.
5. Supplying Equipment for Tiger Reserves
As part of its conservation efforts, SST has provided over 30 high luminescent search lights, 150 search lights, and 12 GPS units to the Directors of Mudumalai, Sathyamangalam, and Kalakkad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserves. These tools will be useful for night patrolling, anti-poaching efforts, and protecting elephants.
6. Gratitude to Tamil Nadu Government and Forest Department
SST expresses gratitude to the Tamil Nadu Government and the Forest department for providing the opportunity to participate in nature conservation efforts and for accepting partnerships with SST in these ventures. SST also thanks the Honorable Minister of Forests, PCCF, and PCCF & CWLW, as well as the Field Directors, for their support in the Tiger Conservation Programme.
