Visakhapatnam (India CSR): Gangavaram Port Limited as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility program provided support to Prajwal Vani Welfare Society, Akkayyapalem in Visakhapatnam & Government Polytechnic College in Pendurthi.
Prajwal Vani Welfare Society works towards imparting technical education to the disabled and conducts courses like Computer learning, Computer Networking & Hardware, etc.
The port supplied computers, furniture & lab equipment to institutions with an objective to help impart quality education to the students and create better facilities for their overall development. The equipment and the lab at Prajwal Vani Society & the Government Polytechnic College have been fully commissioned and are being utilized for the benefit of their students. The labs will help foster digital dexterity and provide state-of-the-art infrastructure.
The programme is being implemented to help in improving the standard of education and make students more self-reliant and skilled to empower them in their life
According to Gangavaram Port Management, “It’s our endeavour to strengthen the education infrastructure in our community by providing basic facilities. We are committed to the development of our neighborhood and will continue to support similar initiatives for creating a stronger society.”
The program was attended by G.J.Rao, Executive Director, and Sambasiva Rao, CEO, Gangavaram Port along with key staff members of the school & college.
