IIFL Foundation, FinX create the women graduates BFSI sector job-ready with Chartered Financial Expert Certification
IIFL Foundation, which runs one of India’s largest girl child education initiatives, today said that it has partnered with FinX (ID Finxperts Skilling Foundation) to skill and train women graduates and groom them to be job ready in the BFSI industry with an aim to increase share of women professionals in the sector.
In a recently concluded event, the first batch of 200 first-generation women graduates were given Chartered Financial Certificate after 250-hour rigorous course work covering practical aspects of Banking, Broking, Investments, Insurance and Behavioural Skills.
Students are also be trained on NISM Regulatory Certifications which are mandatory for many roles across Banking, Broking, Mutual Funds & Financial Distribution Companies
Madhu Jain, Director, IIFL Foundation said, “Empowering girls and women through education at all stages is the key objective of IIFL Foundation. We are happy to be able to do meaningful contribution towards training first-generation girl students to be financially independent, through an industry-recognised certification (chartered financial expert) offered by FinX.”
Commenting on the partnership Nisha Shah, Director, FinX said, “Close to 48%Indian women compromise on their careers to manage household responsibilities. This platform will give an opportunity to women who can start their own business of financial distribution and become financially independent and maintain a work-life balance.”
Already in the pilot phase 15 leading colleges from Mumbai University and 45 leading BFSI companies have joined hands to offer skilling and placement support to these students.
