Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL)’s Barbil business unit has won the coveted Greentech Transformative HR Award-2021 for outstanding achievement in ‘Employee Engagement’. The award was conferred to the leading steel producer at the Annual Greentech Award function held in Mahabalipuram, Tamilnadu on Friday.
Sarat Kishore Panda, Head, HR of Barbil unit received the award on behalf of the company.
The 9 MTPA pellet plant has been chosen for remarkable contributions in the employee engagement area, which include teamwork encouragement, positive workplace culture, implementation of wellness programmes, high employee morale, employee recognition, flexibility with work schedules, cultivation of open culture, and feedback.
All these have helped in meaningful employee engagement which in turn helped in enhancing the organization’s performance.

Recently, JSPL’s Barbil unit had won GeoMintech Golden Vibgyor Excellence Award 20-21 for its exemplary initiatives and significant contribution in the field of Human Resources.
