MUMBAI (India CSR): ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL) has announced plans to produce a biographical film on the life of Padma Vibhushan Ratan Tata, one of India’s most respected business leaders. Following the news of his passing, ZEEL expressed its deep condolences. Ratan Tata’s contributions to India’s economy, leadership, and philanthropy have left a lasting legacy, influencing millions across the globe.
A Tribute to an Icon
ZEE Entertainment’s MD & CEO, Punit Goenka, proposed the biographical film as a heartfelt tribute to the corporate legend. He emphasized, “Ratan Tata Ji’s work and legacy deserve to be shared with the nation and the world, particularly the youth. His life’s journey has the potential to inspire countless individuals globally.” The film will highlight Tata’s groundbreaking achievements and his compassionate efforts to uplift society through business and social initiatives.
Board Approval and Global Collaboration
R. Gopalan, Chairman of ZEEL, conveyed the company’s grief, stating, “India will deeply miss Mr. Tata.” He also announced that the board has approved the project, adding, “The film will not only honor his memory but will inspire millions to follow in his footsteps. His contributions are too significant to be forgotten.”
To ensure the film reaches a global audience, ZEE Studios will collaborate with WION (World is One News), utilizing its widespread viewership in over 190 countries. This partnership highlights Tata’s status as a global leader whose influence extended well beyond India’s borders.
Profits for a Cause
ZEE Studios has pledged that profits from the film will be donated to social causes, in keeping with Tata’s philanthropic legacy. However, the project’s initiation remains contingent upon approval from Tata Sons.
