CHENNAI (India CSR): Zebronics – India’s pioneer brand of IT Peripherals, Audio and Consumer Electronics, had conducted a beach clean-up drive at Marina beach in a continuous endeavour towards preservation of marine ecosystem and distributed plant saplings to promote greener tomorrow in lieu of its Zeb-EnvironmentCSR initiative.
With an aim to maintain the cleanliness at Marina beach, this drive focussed on sensitizing the crowd about the impact of the garbage/waste dumped into the fragile ecosystem and ways to curb the same. Nearly 200 Zebees including the employees and volunteers channelised their efforts to segregate approx. 300 kg of waste into categories and handed over the to the authorities for further recycling and safe disposal. By the end of the drive, there was an elevated sense of self-realisation, awareness & appreciation amongst the participants towards the cause.
Zebronics’ campaign underscores the critical importance of protecting coastal resources, resonating with the current need to safeguard the environment. Aligned with its CSR policy, Zebronics has a strong track record of contributing to Environment, Education, Health and Societal empowerment via their Zeb-Environment, Zeb-Tech, Zeb-Learn and Zeb-Health initiatives. This beach clean-up drive is a testament to their commitment to sustainable development.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Doshi Director & Co-Founder at Zebronics said: ‘Zebronics’ foundation is built on strong principles of responsible corporate citizenship and believes in the philosophy of Doctrine of Care, contributing towards a better future and a sustainable environment for the future generations. Being in Chennai, a beautiful coastal city that attracts a large influx of visitors to its scenic beaches, it was all the more imperative for us to¯ normalise the need to clean up the beaches and educate people on the impacts that are linked with polluting the beaches. One of the best parts of these drives is that the youth is proactively involved and we will continue bringing meaningful changes through persistent collaborative action and thrive to be “Always Ahead” in these initiatives as well.’
