700 kg Toilet shaped cake unveiled , “Toilet Rath” flagged off on Toilet day

NEW DELHI: World’s biggest toilet shaped Cake having weight of 700 kg was the attraction during the World Toilet Day celebration here today. It’s part of three day “International Toilet festival” being organised in national capital to create awareness among people towards Toilets. Around 2000 people including school children from seven countries are taking part in this unique celebration on taboo topic.

The ‘World Toilet Day’ was observed today in style with the flagging off of ‘Sulabh Swachchata Rath’ here to mark the occasion.
Member of Parliament Jagdambika Pal and Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay flagged off the rath at Constitution Club in the national capital.
A major highlight of the occasion was cutting of a 700-kg ‘Toilet Pot-shaped Cake’ in the presence of dignitaries to the event organized by low-cost sanitation NGO Sulabh International.
Sulabh Founder and well known social reformer Dr Bindeshwar Pathak highlighted the importance of sanitation in life and expressed the hope that the event will drive home the message of cleanliness.
Handing over of sanitary napkin dispenser and incinerator machine to nine schools of Delhi was another highlight of the function,which ended with a Fashion Show and Cultural Programme.
To facilitate live interaction between common people and Sulabh International, a special Digital Rath was unveiled on the occasion.
The eco-friendly rath is equipped with Solar Panel with 230 volt (Inverter power backup) hookup outsource 230 volt power supply. It has an eco friendly toilet and is Global Positioning System (GPS) enabled.
It can carry out live demonstration from Sulabh campus and has Direct to Home (DTH) facility using Power Saving LED Lights, Cordless Mike, Speaker, P.A System, Amplifier and Air-Condition system.
It has Power Pack 12 VDC Hydraulic Lift to address the masses.
Equipped with functional Kitchen (Hot & Cold water supply, Microwave, Refrigerator and sink, it also has a self-priming septic tank.
It has sleeping arrangement for two people and is equipped with DVD and 163cm (Exterior) Led TV & (Interior) 32” Led TV.
