MUMBAI: Wockhardt Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, known for its committed service to the poor, weak and needy, observed World Environment day by installing its environment friendly Bio-Toilet at Maurice Nagar Police station in New Delhi. Bio-Toilet is an innovative, complete waste management initiative by Wockhardt Foundation.
The bio-toilet was inaugurated by Bhim Sain Bassi, Commissioner of Police, New Delhi in the presence of Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, CEO of Wockhoundation and senior police officials.
Speaking about the installation in Delhi, Dr. Khorakiwala said, “We are happy to partner the Delhi police’s initiative to go green. Our Bio-Toilet is an environment friendly concept that decomposes solid waste to water & bio gas. The initiative will also play a critical role in Preventable Healthcare as the Bio Toilet eliminates disease-causing pathogens completely”.
