MUMBAI: Dr. Bhagwat Karad, Advisory Board Member at Wockhardt Foundation, inducted into PM Modi’s cabinet as Minister of State for Finance.
Dr Bhagwat Kisanrao Karad is doctor and an Indian politician belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party.
He is also a member of the Rajya Sabha the upper house of Indian parliament from Maharashtra.
He was the Mayor of Aurangabad twice.
Dr. Huz ( Huzaifa Khorakiwala), CEO – Wockhardt Foundation says – “it’s a matter of great pride that Dr. Karad’s selfless work for the poor has been rewarded with a Union Cabinet ministerial position. We pray that God gave him great strength to serve the nation.”
Including Bharatiya Janata Party MP Dr Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad from Maharashtra, the Central government also announced name of 3 other ministers from the state ahead of the oath taking ceremony which took place Wednesday evening.
Besides, Dr Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, the centre has inducted Narayan Rane, Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar and Kapil Moreshwar Patil in the list.
Dr Karad is from Chikhali village in Ahmedpur taluka of Aurangabad district and has completed his education at Government Medical college.
