VAV Vedanta International School Celebrates Foundation Day

LANJIGARH:  DAV VEDANTA International School, Lanjigarh celebrated the Foundation Day today in the school premises with full of joy. Vedanta Aluminum Ltd under its CSR Project is committed to community to increase the literacy rate and therefore Vedanta in association with DAV built a institute on 1st july 2006 on the name of DAV VEDANTA International School which starts with a nos of 7 students initially.

dav vedanta schoolDr Mukesh Kumar, COO & President Vedanta Aluminum Ltd has joined as chief guest and gave thanks to the DAV Staffs along with the students for their contribution towards creating the school as one of the top school in KBK Region. “One Student, Plant One Tree” can create a Green belt in the area to make the environment healthy and safety. He also advised to make awareness for avoiding any disease from their home and village.

Similarly Shukla Chakrabarty, Principal DAV VEDANTA Int. School praised Vedanta to support and commitment to the public. Lastly the institute got the renowned “PRAKRUTI MITRA “award from state Govt on World Environment day .Today she declared that they will arrange a speech competition and make plantation in Belamba and Dengasargi villages in the next week. Lastly they have also given awareness regarding the protection of environment and disaster management plan.

Among all the dignitaries Mr.K.R Kundu (Head HR) , Mr.Biraja Sankar Mund ( Head Power plant), Sidhartha Behera  also attended the program and enjoyed dance and song program  arranged by the students. Later Havan-Yagya followed was held by the Vedic Mantras and prayers by the school management committee, teachers and   students of the school.  Now the school is running successfully with a number of 600 students in and around 50 from the plant. The School provides bus service, Free Tuition fees, Digital Class room, playing materials, Advanced Labs, Art & Culture training etc in the premises.
