Gurugram: Suman Nirmal Minda Foundation, which is a philanthropic and CSR arm of Uno Minda Group, works in the thematic areas of Education, Skill Development, Preventive and Curative Healthcare and Community Development and wellbeing. Our programs aim to provide quality education to school-going children and also provide skill development to women to empower them and make them self-sufficient. As of today, the Suman Nirmal Minda Foundation has impacted more than 15 lakh beneficiaries. Through these programs Uno Minda plans to positively impact and bring a change to the lives of the community members in its vicinity. Across the country the group runs around 17 Samarth-Jyoti Centres that provide training in cutting and tailoring, beauty culture, IT literacy programmes, and remedial classes.
To felicitate and encourage the students on the successful completion of their training, a Valedictory Function was organised for the students of Cutting and Tailoring, Beauty-Culture Course and IT Literacy Course for students. Through this program a total of 191 students were provided a platform to upskill themselves.
The Chief guest, Sanjeev Kumar, SDM, Bawal, graced the occasion and awarded certificates to the students. In his address, he praised the women who took a step towards empowering themselves and applauded Uno Minda Group for their other social work while assuring his support for the Foundation.
The event organised in Bal Bhawan, Rewari, Haryana was attended by more than two hundred and fifty studentsโ community members of the village to support and encourage the students.
