NEW DELHI: Uttam Galva Steels Ltd. (UGSL) – one of India’s largest manufacturer-exporter of value added steel products announced its win of the “Best Run in Manufacturing” SAP ACE Award 2013. The award recognised Uttam Galva’s path breaking transformational performance through improving its key processes by effective use of technology.

SAP ACE awards are an industry benchmark to recognize the best of best-run businesses in the Indian subcontinent. It honours business excellence achieved through the implementation of SAP solutions.

Uttam Galva Steels Limited (UGSL) is India’s largest single site standalone manufacturer – exporter of galvanized  steel products. The Company’s manufacturing facilities are located at Khopoli, in the state of Maharashtra, India, which are close to Nhava Sheva and Mumbai ports. UGSL is the recipient of 18 consecutive awards for “Export Excellence” from Engineering Export Promotion Council, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. In the domestic market, the company is a major supplier to the automobile, white goods, general engineering and construction industries. The Company’s products are also exported to 148 countries including Australia, France, Germany, Greece, UK and the USA.
