BARODA: United Way of Baroda with CSR Partner KOCH Engineered Solutions India Pvt Ltd extended helping hand to Covid Trust and Government hospitals of Vadodara by donating various medical equipment to contribute to the fight against COVID -19.
Government and trust hospitals in Vadodara have been facing a medical crisis for the covid equipment as cases are increasing rapidly and people prefer to get admitted to the hospitals rather than home quarantine. Heartened to these issues, the donation of these equipments was carried out under CSR initiatives:
Trust Hospital: I Chroma II, HIA 1100 and Installation of Oxygen pipelines, Ventilator
Government Hospital: Thermofisher Refrigerated Centrifuge to Gotri Medical Hospital
Testing equipment – Chroma II and HIA 1100 will be highly useful for RTPCR testing apart from testing more than 33 types of conditions such as diagnosing conditions such as infection, diabetes, hormonal conditions, cardiovascular diseases, renal injury, and cancers, etc. in blood, serum, plasma, urine or other samples, in quantitative or semi-quantitative ways.
While ventilator and oxygen pipelines will be a boon for Covid Patients in need.
Thermo Scientific Sorvall Refrigerator Centrifuges is an advance centrifuge and will enhance the capacity of RTPCR tests per day, RNA extraction and highly useful for mass screening campaigns not only for covid testing but for all sort biochemical testing.
Medical equipment’s were handed over by Dr. Binita Verdia, CEO-UWB, MKana Movar, Admin Head-KOCH, and Jigar Patel- Senior Manager Finance and CS, KOCH, Savli, Nilam Acharya Assistant Manager UWB on 31st May 2021 to Joint Secretary-Dr. Hitesh Desai of Medical Care Centre Trust, ventilator to Narhari Manav Kalyan Trust and Refrigerator Centrifuge Thermofisher Sorvall to Dr. Vishala Medical Superintendent of Gotri Medical Hospital.
Dr. Vishala GMERS Gotri Superintendent shared that it is a highly useful advanced Centrifuge machine which will help to enhance the RTPCR test at our hospital and conveyed heartfelt gratitude towards donation of Equipment.
Kana Movar, Admin Manager (KES) shared that they are excited to be a part of United Way of Baroda initiative to help society in the current Covid 19 pandemic situation. The CSR is the continuing commitment by our company to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the local communities and society at large.
Today, it is even more imperative for us to stand by the Government and our communities to address the challenge resulting from the pandemic. We are grateful to KES for joining hands with us under our United Against Covid 19 response and supporting timely medical equipment to fight against deadly Covid Pandemic said by Dr. Binita Verdia- Chief Executive Officer, United Way of Baroda.
