NEW DELHI: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai formally rolled out Chetak Foundation’s Poshan Scheme to felicitate and reward over 1000 underprivileged drivers and Covid front line workers with high-quality dry food ration.
Chetak Foundation (the social arm of Chetak Group, the leader in Automotive Logistics in India) has tied up with prestigious Sir Ganga Ram Hospital to honour Covid front line workers and drivers with high-quality dry food ration packets.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Home Affairs, Government of India, Nityanand Rai said, “It is heartening to see Chetak Foundation come forward and support the government’s efforts by acknowledging the Covid front line workers and drivers who worked tirelessly during the crisis saving numerous lives, while risking their own lives. We need many more such corporates and foundations to join hands in the noble initiatives”

We are honoured that the Hon’ble Minister has blessed our initiative to felicitate over 1000 drivers and Covid front line workers.”
Speaking of its tie-up with SGRH, he added, “We are really happy that the prestigious Sir Ganga Ram Hospital has agreed to join us for this noble cause and it reflects the social ethos being practiced by the organisation. SGRH has identified Ambulance drivers, Ward Helpers, Guards, House Boys, Ward Boys, Pantry Boys and Liftmen, all from less privileged backgrounds for the felicitation.
Chetak Foundation focuses on broad areas including Education, Environment, Health, Livelihood, Nutrition and Road Safety, in the logistics space and those around Group’s operational presence.
The Foundation has conceived specific interventions to enhance beneficiaries’ experience. Some of these include Oxygen Plus (an environment initiative), Swasthaya Plus (a Health initiative), Poshan Plus (a nutrition initiative to alleviate hunger), Shikha Plus (an Education initiative), Zindagi Plus (a Road Safety Initiative), Sahayata Plus (an initiative to help people during crisis or natural calamities).
Speaking on the occasion, D S Rana, Chairman Ganga Ram Hospital said, “Once we were approached by Chetak Foundation for this noble initiative, we immediately said yes, as it is in line with the values being practiced by SGRH.
